Princess Alphabet - Updated

Frozen hadn't overtaken the princess landscape when I prepared my first Princess Alphabet , but I felt that this warranted a rare update to one of my original designs: Good luck guessing who is who. You'll need to consider movies, TV, comic books and video games. I'll give you one: Q is Qing Dynasty Princess. EDIT: Depicted are Ariel (The Little Mermaid), Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Cinderella, Dot (A Bug's Life), Elsa (Frozen), Fiona (Shrek), Galadriel (Lord of the Rings), Hot Dog Princess (Adventure Time), Irene (The Princess and the Goblin), Jasmine (Aladdin), Kida (Atlantis: The Lost Empire), Leia (Star Wars), Merida (Brave), Namora (Marvel), Odette (The Swan Princess), Peach (Super Mario), Qing Dynasty Princess, Rapunzel (Tangled), Snow White, Tiana (The Princess and the Frog), Usagi (Sailor Moon), Vanellope (Wreck-It-Ralph), Wonder Woman, Xena Warrior Princess, Yum-Yum (The Thief and the Cobbler), Zelda (Legend of Zelda)

The Number Who

I've actually been finished this one for a while, but I was waiting to see what the 12th Doctor's sonic screwdriver would look like. Based on on-site photos, looks like it will be the same as the 11th Doctor's. I'm hoping this changes, at which point I will revisit this:

ABC3PO

I've long wanted to create a Star Wars-inspired alphabet. With all the hoopla over the new movies, I didn't want to hold off any longer. To give myself an extra challenge, I focused only on characters from the films (no expanded universe). It actually wasn't too much of a challenge. :) And now, straight from a galaxy far, far away: EDIT: Depicted are Admiral Ackbar, Bossk, Chewbacca, Dooku, Emperor Palpatine, Boba Fett, Greedo, Han Solo, IG-88, Jabba the Hut, Klaatu, Luke Skywalker, Darth Maul, Nien Nunb, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Princess Leia, Qui-Gon Jinn, R2-D2, Stormtrooper, Three-PO (C3PO), Ugnaught, Darth Vader, Wicket, X-Wing Pilot, Yoda, Zuckuss

Nickelodeon Alphabet

Hey you eediot! For a contest over at Threadless, I prepared this tribute to '90s Nickelodeon characters from Hey Arnold, Ren & Stimpy, Rugrats, Rocko's Modern Life, Angry Beavers, Catdog and Aaahh!! Real Monsters. Vote now at Threadless if you want to see it as a shirt. Tweet

Game of Thrones Alphabet

Season 4 can't come soon enough, so I thought I would tide myself over with this Game of Thrones-inspired alphabet: Have fun guessing who is who! Let me know your guesses here or over on Facebook . I'll give you one in case you haven't read the books: Z is Zollo. EDIT: Depicted are Arya Stark, Joffrey Baratheon, Cersei Lannister, Daenerys Targaryan, Edmure Tully, Syrio Forel, Theon Greyjoy, The Hound, Ilyn Payne, Jamie Lannister, Khal Drogo, Peter "Littlefinger" Baelish, Melisandre, Ned Stark, Davos "Onion Knight" Seaworth, Pycelle, Qhorin Halfhand, Robb Stark, Jon Snow, Tyrion Lannister, Greatjon Umber, Varys, White Walker, Xaro Xhoan Daxos, Ygritte, Zollo Tweet

Princess Alphabet

I'd long considered a princess alphabet. I knew there weren't enough choices if you just looked at the princesses that most little girls think of when they play dress up, but by tapping into more pop culture icons for inspiration, I was was able to complete all 26 letters. This was even with giving myself the extra challenge of only adding actual princesses, not just characters that are princess-like. What was especially fun about this was realizing that there are actually a wider range of princesses out there than when you first think of the term "princess." Good luck guessing who is who. You'll need to consider movies, TV, comic books, video games and books. I'll give you one: Q is Qing Dynasty Princess. EDIT: A new Princess Alphabet (with 100% more Elsa) now available . Tweet

Springfield Follicles

I've always been amazed at the vast scope of personalities, professions and characters depicted on The Simpsons. So many characters have made such a lasting impression. With this design, I wanted to emphasize the iconic nature of these characters by illustrating how identifiable they are even if only looking at their hair (okay, and some hats). Each figure represents a different Springfieldian. How many can you identify?
