Mr. Mups

I thought this was a fun little mash up. The characters just worked so well together. I’m considering a whole series.

NATO Phonetic Alphabet

I recently received a very touching email from a young man named Nicholas Machado: Dear Mr. Boon, My name is Nicholas Machado from Virginia.  I am 10 years old.  I like how you customize alphabets into cool designs.  So, I have a picture of the NATO Phonetic Alphabet in pictures.  When you have the list, search up pictures on Google of the letters and soon you will find how these make sense.  You inspired me to do it.  I hope you think this is awesome. Love, Nicholas Machado PS Look in the "M".  There is a message for you. I later learned from his father John that Nicholas is on the autistic spectrum and has Asperger's Syndrome.  At first, I was greatly moved by Nicholas' sweetness, but after closely looking at his design, I am also very impressed by the inventiveness of his design. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do: Thank you for sharing Nicholas.

Evil-phabet

After having so much fun with my Horror Icon Alphabet , I wanted to offer another typographic tribute to the villains and bad guys we all love to hate. Presenting the Evil-phabet: Have fun figuring out who is who. They are all based on animated villains and I restricted myself to one image per film.

Princess Alphabet - Updated

Frozen hadn't overtaken the princess landscape when I prepared my first Princess Alphabet , but I felt that this warranted a rare update to one of my original designs: Good luck guessing who is who. The Number Who

I've actually been finished this one for a while, but I was waiting to see what the 12th Doctor's sonic screwdriver would look like. Based on on-site photos, looks like it will be the same as the 11th Doctor's. I'm hoping this changes, at which point I will revisit this:
