The Periodic Table of Cereal Mascots

Introducing The Periodic Table of Cereal Mascots, part of a complete breakfast!

A periodic table of cold cereal mascots from 1900 to 2010, all depicted as they were first presented. Characters are sorted horizontally by year and vertically by brand. I tried to avoid most licensed characters, but some were just too iconic like Fred Flintstone for Fruity Pebbles or, well, a Muppet (Croonchy Stars!)

  14. They are now potent symbols in branding strategy, representations of delight from childhood, and symbols of nostalgia. Cereal mascots are cultural icons that connect generations via shared memories and transcend marketing through their lively stories and vibrant imagery. They are empty except at nodes. Tillering habit with a fibrous root system that is shallow. With sheathing leaf bases and parallel venation, leaves are distichous and alternating. ligules and lodicules are present. I'm thrilled to have this.
